Your engine bay is so clean. I love your intercooler mounts. I've never seen it done that way.

Prelude of the Month
so i finally got around to painting the rusting welds. I've been quite lazy so i used stainless steel, sanded the welds and rust and sprayed over it all with rust paint. so here you can see how I modded the bumper to fit the enormous IC. you can see i missed some small spots in the picture. after seeing that I went back and resprayed all those areas.

finally had it with my autometer digital AF gauge....its so terrible. so im gettin an innovate gauge. the $300 one. not the $400 one. All of that datalogging is useless when I can log that with hondata and that sort of thing. Also went ahead and got a digital water temp gauge to really keep an eye on the water temps.

So what gauges do u have? Oil pressure, boost, wideband?!? Is that is or do u have EGT also. Water temp?!? Sorry but I don't understand why u need a gauge for water temp, I mean I could understand if u were a race car always gettin on it. Sorry but could u explain. Thanks.

It could serve a purpose if you ever track the car or go on some wild cruises. I know that there have been some cruises in my city where we go outside to the outskirts to where there are some crazy twisties that are wide. I kid you not 15 of us were doing a min 130km an hour into turns, most at 150km (wide turns) and then right after a few turns there would be straight aways that let us top the car out. This went on for 22 minutes (timed it). I thought my car was going to explode because it was always about 5000 rpm for almost half an hour straight. Oil temp raised a bit and dropped. I had a really good setup but you get the idea. Keeps a check on how hot the coolant gets.

well 1fastlude.....you havent boosted your baby yet and since its a stock motor any significant increase in temps could be fatal. on long drives the water got hot but that was because the EGT's got even hotter which therein heated the turbos water lines (now are wrapped and temps are down). Defi gauges are (boost, oil pres, EGT) I have a wideband (ditching it for a Innovate XD-16 that I ordered) and I have a nitrous pressure gauge. So now add in my digital water temp gauge. digital allows me to really see how the temps fluctuate. crazy is getting one too because he's also courious/worried.

Hmm.. may have to look into gettin one. I'm prob gunna order a EGT gauge also. I have wideband, boost, and oil pressure. I just don't know where to put them. lol.. I'm 100 % positive that a universal tri pillar pod will fit. See if I pick up a water temp also I wouldn't know were to put it. I could get the dash pod and side dual pillar pod but I would need one more to fill in. haha.. I understand now why u would want a water temp. But I'm gunna try to avoid high speed driving for long distances.

Dynamat!! (or something similar) With big exhausts the resonance in the cabin is killer. Get some dynamat in the trunk at least and then on the cloor of the cabin if you want. It adds some weight but also increases your sanity for daily driving lol.

I agree, its a good investment. I am dynamating my entire floor from the truck all the way to the pedals. I am also going to be putting some on the back of the rear seats (maybe) because i don't want to hear my exhaust droning on everytime i drive my car lol. It lets you enjoy the sounds you want to hear (bov, wastegate, turbo haha).

Hmm I may have to consider that but I'm sure ur car is hella loud with that exhaust cut out. When that thing is open I bet u don't hear anything but exhaust. I'm using 2 vibrant ultra quiet resinators for my exhaust. Hope fully it will keep the tone down although I really don't mind it being somewhat loud.

It's not so much the loudness but the resonance. Mine is actually really quiet but you can just feel the sound pressure since the resonators take out the high pitched tones (raspiness) and you're left with the low bass frequencies. It really gets old quick, and I've only got a 2.5in exhaust. I cant imagine how a 3" would be lol.

QTP exhaust cutout. Cost me like $210 for the kit shipped. Comes with valve, Y-pipe, wiring & toggle switch.

I will work on exhaust clips for you guys with it open and closed. my camera doesn't pick up the sound becuase its too loud so I will have to get a higher quality camera/mic.

I talked to my tuner about the cut out and he said it good and all but the power difference is so much that u really should have 2 tunes. One with it open and then one with it closed. Reason being, when u have it open the turbo spools soooo much faster leadin to more power over it closed.
