Question Type sh/s hybrid discription at a car show

Last night I was at the once a week nightly car show at the commenter parking lot in Va Beach and got a bit of a let down . Some guys came by and asked me what special things do I have on my lude , and unlike some people , I gave the following honest response .

1: TYPE S INTAKE
2: TYPE S STRUT BAR
3: FRONT AND REAR TYPE S ATTS EMBLEMS .

A guy after listening shrugged his shoulders and said well it sure is a very clean stockish lude for sure . Well thats like telling a fat girl she has a nice personality . So I am going to do like the guys with the special version Mustangs and that guy out there with the Nismo 370 does , and in the future , tell them what my car has that a base lude does not have minus for example the rice ATTS emblems .

Here is what I am going to state in order of importance :

1: ATTS
2: Special high lift cam and springs
3: Modified and specially tuned front suspension
4: Special throttle body
5: Special Type S strut bar
6: Special Type s dynamic chamber intake

I wish I could also include the wheels but unfortunately someone pointed out that the wheels are actually a little heaver (o shit ) then base wheels probably because each front wheel has to be able to handle up to to 80% of the engines torque at times I would guess .

Do any of you TYPE SH owners have any more suggestions on how I should present my lude at a car show ? All comments negative or positive will be listened to by me .

I tried to take pictures but the parking lot lights screwed things up .
If you want to know more about this place from some one other then me ,you can pm these fellow luders who introduced me to this place and I visited with the first time I went to this nightly car show . I think next time I am going to do like some others and park under a light and wax my car so I will have something to do as people walk by .

well.... ha you are definitely fighting a losing battle.. but i'm just giving up on opinions, seeing as it is pointless with you

at any rate, my guess is you are gonna go for the appeal that the rousche mustang has? stock - yet better?

for that matter dude you gotta come better than just SH stuff, a shit ton better.

1. swap for an h22a - more power and actaully more reliable, based off what i heard
2. SHAVE all emblems
3. simple thought- do some engine bay dress up. resovior covers, caps - paint your valve cover, get those a bolt and washer set, restore the paint and polish a few things here or there - it will at least make a world of difference

this is just a suggestion, you actaully improve your car to type S standards, and add your own personal touch while keeping it stock - but hey who am i to judge - do what you want

another point - if the idea of the rousche mustang comparason was accurate i got one word for you dude.. MUGEN

to each their own - im trying to just get this guy to go either SH or S - b/c claiming both imo is rice

- also keep in mind that he is set on the fact that the SH has better cam than the base... and that the intake is made from god's hands, this way with the swap he gets what 20 more hp? - that way at least what he claims is legit then

i remember reading somewere that the sh cam was different, but sure as hell wouldnt make a big enough difference to were swapping one cam for the other would be a good idea. the type s intake makes more power then stock, as blake dyno'd.

but this thread is about polishing a turd. hes trying to make is stock prelude into something its not, and trying to impress people.

this thread needs tits.

Being the anti ricer I am , I like to emphasize performance over style .
In the past I thought about getting a TYPE S red valve cover but felt I could not because the engine had no Honda related upgrades . Ever since I found out that my engine has a improved cam and springs , I am reconsidering my decision whether or not to get a red cover because if someone says whats special about your engine I will have at least some answer to give . This valve cover would sure look nice at a car show .

My car is very clean and because it has spent more then 90 % of its non use life since I purchased it new in 1999 under a car cover , the sun has not had a chance to dull the paint and people really notice it . Thats what I have going for me on the apperece front .

you do realize that the cam and spring upgrades are rediculously insignificant?

what vendetta do you have against aftermarket parts and not being a ricefag?

becuase well, your a ricefag.

But its a turd that by my account has been polished 8 times .
Anyone who would take the time to read about the Preludes update history would have as much enthusiasm about their car as I do .

1st gen
2nd gen
2nd gen SI ( was such a improved car that the magazines claimed that Honda could have called this the 3rd gen Prelude )
3rd gen
4th gen
4th gen VTEC
5th gen
5th gen SH ( With atts it moved the car into the 21 century so it could be refered to as gen 5 1/2 )

Why does the car in the picture have an aftermarket exhaust?

bobby, from sh owner to another. There is nothing that special about an sh prelude. This is why you don't get the responses you want from others, it's not because you didn't present your car in the right way. If you want appreciation for your ride you have to do something special with it, but being the "anti ricer" that you are LOL I don't see that happening
